Description: Under the direction of a Project Manager and Software Architect, develops custom programs primarily in VB.NET, ASP.NET & SQL Server that are designed to increase customer productivity. Encodes, tests, debugs, documents and installs programs to support three-tier and two-tier applications. Prepares technical program specifications from written business requirements and creates data models when required. **Candidates short listed after a phone screening process must be available for an on-site interview; this is non-negotiable for this position. **Please also remember that your company’s contract with the County requires that background checks be completed for candidates prior to submission.

Description: Evaluates, recommends, configures, installs, maintains, and operates Microsoft server systems. • Server and Application Ownership and Management within IT dept. standards and guidelines. • Manage, operate, and report on multiple applications, systems and projects. • Application installation, troubleshooting, deployment, documentation on servers, workstations, support systems, handhelds and customer equipment. • Assist vendors and support staff with testing, access to systems, error reporting, and document procedures for same. • Demonstrate the ability to plan, coordinate, install and configure primary system hardware and software using standard and accepted practices. • Ability to effectively work with and leverage resources outside of direct management control (other teams, other departments, other agencies, other vendors). • Assist operations and support staff of software and hardware problem analysis and document solutions for future use by such staff. • Ability to enhance system capabilities and end user systems with the use of scripts, job control, task automation and job management. • Assist in establishing standards and instructional materials for use in training of programmers, operators, support staff, members and users. • Should be a technology expert. • Render expert technical advice. • Perform effective system analysis of the most difficult problems and translate findings into a useful format for use by all others mentioned above. • Prepare and present effective written and oral reports. • Be involved in the design of highly complex systems from inception to completion. • Follow established procedures and departmental standards for systems life cycle management involving design and documentation of specifications, cost/benefit analysis and technical review. • Utilize current countywide or system wide and/or department specific software to complete assignments. • Technical lead on projects as assigned and directed by IT Supervisor.
