Job Title: Senior Programmer Analyst

Description: The Michigan State Police and the Department of Information Technology are requesting the services of four (4) programmer analysts to complete implementation of the expanded legislative mandates of the Michigan Sex Offender Registration computer system as well as complete development of MSP’s new web-based Automated Incident Capture System (AICS). The senior programmer analysts will be responsible for modifying; coding, testing, and deploying Java based computer systems for both the Michigan Sex Offender Registry system based on the Adam Walsh Act requirement and Michigan Laws, and the Automated Incident Capture System based on documented requirements from the MSP business owners. He or she will be working in a team of delivery-oriented, fast-paced, multiple-system-component environment, abiding by the Software Engineering Methodology and the Project Management Methodology guidelines within the Department of the Information Technology, the Project Office, and the Criminal Justice Information Center within the State Police. Responsible for designing and implementing various system library utilities, applications, and services in the JEE client -server environment. The major deliverables are:
a.
Modifying and/or creating the existing SOR applications and its interfacing systems to meet federal AWA compliance requirements,
b.
Implementing system interfaces with the AWA website and central database,
c.
Implementing system interfaces with SOR and LEIN, SOS, PSOR, NCIC, etc.
d.
Implementing system functionality and reports for law enforcement efficiency
e.
Automating digital document retrieval for prosecutors and courts
f.
Following SUITE methodology to complete analysis, development, test, deployment, and documentation requirements
g.
Complete development of the remaining phases of the web-based Automated Incident Capture System.
